WASHINGTON Gov. Chris Christie‘s campaign committee, trying to pay off its debt, earned $27,000 last month by renting out its fundraising list to two Republican committees.
The Republican National Committee and National Republican Congressional Committee each paid $13,500, according to Federal Election Commission filings released Friday. It was the second straight month in which the NRCC, the House Republicans’ fundraising arm, made use of the Christie donor list
That helped whittle the campaign debt to $383,518 at the end of April from $400,690 at the end of March. The campaign committee earlier sold furniture and other equipment to Christie’s affiliated super political action committee.
