Former Australian rugby player Tony Daly has revealed he was abused as a boy by a Marist brother at one of Sydneys most prestigious schools.
The former Wallabies front rower cried in court yesterday as he pleaded guilty to a string of alcohol and drug-fuelled robberies in recent years, which a magistrate accepted were the result of a downward spiral that started with his abuse as a child, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The court was told Daly, 51, has twice been interviewed by the Royal Commission about the alleged abuse when he was a 11-year-old at St Josephs College.
