Duty Free operator Aerofirst declared bankrupt – RAPSI

MOSCOW, October 19 (RAPSI) The Commercial Court of the Moscow Region has declared Duty Free operator Aerofirst bankrupt, according to court records.

A monitoring procedure was introduced regarding Aerofirst on April 27. Moreover, this summer the court included a 3.1-billion-ruble (about $54 million at the current exchange rate) debt of Aerofirst to VTB bank and a 2.9-billion-ruble debt to Sberbank in the list of its creditors claims.

As it has been reported earlier, Aerofirst operates duty free shops under Moscow Duty Free brand since its first shop was established in Sheremetyevo in 1988, what makes it the oldest duty-free operator in Russia. The company website shows that it has ten shops in Sheremetyevo F terminal …
