The Central Bank has been in contact with the UKs Financial Conduct Authority in relation to Ulster Banks controversial business restructuring unit.
Paschal Donohoe, the finance minister, has confirmed the contact with the regulator and the FCA in the UK. A leaked FCA report into Royal Bank of Scotland global restructuring group (GRG) last month showed customers put into the unit had been routinely mistreated in a manner that caused many of them financial distress.
