Condev Construction, a Queensland commercial builder, was set to appoint a liquidator on Wednesday after soaring costs and clients who were not willing to advance the privately owned builder any further funding in a position where it could not keep trading.
The company with 18 projects – 14 in gold coast – had put a request to its developer clients for about $25 million on Monday to keep going and escape the crunch it faced after a 25 per cent leap in costs in 18 months, but they knocked it back.
