A small business has been left with no other choice but to go into liquidation, partially blaming its financial troubles on society’s waning interest in building ‘authentic’ connections with each other.
The Source Bulk Foods, Australia’s largest specialised bulk food retailer, has more than 60 stores all over the country.
But it lost one of its stores on August 26, when the owner of its Crows Nest chain, in sydney/index.html” id=”mol-64fcf1d0-29c8-11ed-9ef9-eb313c691f94″>Sydney‘s north, posted a letter on the front door to let its loyal customers know it was closing down for good.
‘You have by now wondered why our doors are shut…It was with the heaviest of hearts that I’ve had to put the business into liquidation,’ the shop owner Nikki wrote.
‘It has been a very difficult time made even harder because of our connection to you, our loyal customers, friends even, who have darkened our doorway and lightened our smiles for six years, some of you since our Willoughby store days.’
