Budget airline Bonza has entered voluntary administration, little more than a year after its planes took off from Australian runways.
The documentation was filed to The Australian Securities and Investments Commission on Tuesday.

It came hours after the carrierâs concerning decision to cancel flights, stranding thousands of travellers at airports across Australia, amid urgent talks about the carrierâs future.
Flights suspended included those to or from melbourne, the Sunshine Coast, the gold coast, Launceston, Alice Springs and others.
Chief executive Tim Jordan said earlier it was a âtemporary suspensionâ while discussions about the viability of Bonza were underway.
âWe apologise to our customers who are impacted by this, and weâre working as quickly as possible to determine a way forward that ensures there is ongoing competition in the Australian domestic aviation market,â he said early on Tuesday.


Jordan did not address a report claiming Bonzaâs fleet of Boeing 737s had been seized by creditors.
