A dispute between western Sydney factory workers over who is entitled a $40 million Powerball jackpot is heading to court today, amid claims a syndicate member was left out to make way for the organiser’s son.
The group, which bought the winning ticket in Campbelltown “on a whim” earlier this month, was jumping for joy after their numbers came up in the $40,445,165 May 5 draw but now one member has been left stamping his feet with anger.
Brendon King claims he was a part of a syndicate of 14 workers who won the jackpot.
Mr King, a senior manager at the Liverpool-based cable manufacturer Prysmian Group, will today launch legal action in the Supreme Court in an attempt to secure his $2.7 million in winnings ahead of the money bein…
