Recently, he decided to buy an apartment.
However, his application for a housing loan was rejected by the bank but he was not informed as to why he was not entitled.
Bill went on to another bank to submit his housing loan application, but was again rejected.
What Bill didnt know was that the second housing loan that was rejected further hurt his credit score.
Credit information provider CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd (CTOS) says that this is a common occurrence.
According to CTOS director Kevin Loh, knowing your credit score would help loan applicants to access and assess their credit ratings.
