Gary R. Leistico of the Rinke Noonan firm on Feb. 15 notified the Ninth Judicial District Court that he withdrew from the Anderson Seed case. Leistico was the point of contact for the Andersons since their facilities went insolvent, creating millions in claims by farmers and elevators in South Dakota and North Dakota.
Leistico led Anderson Seeds defense against the civil case that ended with a $1.85 million judgment against the company, and individual joint liability judgments of $1.38 million against owner Ron Anderson of Key West, Fla., and $1.2 million against his daughter, company manager Stephanie Anderson of Fosston, Minn.
