PRAISE: Administrator Mark Mentha has praised Arrium’s workers, saying their commitment to the company has been ‘pivotal’ in progressing the sale process.
Arrium administrator Mark Mentha has thanked local workers for their commitment and passion throughout 12 months that the company has been in voluntary administration.
Mr Mentha sent out a note to the workforce which both praised the workers and listed a number of highlights for the company over the past year.
The highlights included securing the federal government grant of nearly $50 million to support Arrium’s beneficiation plants, creating a new shift at the rolling mill to employ 44 new workers, and fighting through adversity to keep the steelworks operational during the state bla…
