German tennis figure Boris Becker, three-time Wimbledon champion, has been released after nearly eight months in jail and will be deported by plane from the UK, local news agency PA reported on Thursday.
Becker, 55, was released after serving just eight months of a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence imposed last April for concealing assets and loans worth 2.5 million pounds (about 2.9 million euros) to avoid paying his debts.
