Quebec entrepreneur Caroline Nron on Thursday announced a business restructuring that will see nine of her firms 14 boutiques in Quebec shuttered and dozens of employees lose their jobs.
A total of 64 of the 152 people employed at the firms jewelry sales outlets and head office will be laid off. In a statement made public Thursday, Nron said she had proposed that the firms commercial leases be annulled as part of a restructuring of its corporate activities in order to adapt to the new realities affecting the retail business sector.
