A Mississippi casino lost a bid Tuesday to dismiss a lawsuit brought by bankrupt law firm Morris Schneider Wittstadt LLC over a former partner who gambled away more than $1.5 million from a firm trust.
U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola Jr. denied Beau Rivage Resort & Casinos motion to dismiss a complaint that seeks to recover funds lost by ex-partner Nathan Hardwick. Hardwick allegedly embezzled from the firm to cover debts he incurred while gambling at the Biloxi, Mississippi, casino.
