STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — If homeowners can refinance their mortgage, why can’t college graduates refinance their tuition loans?
Help could be on the way for college students and graduates burdened with tuition loan debt.
A bill gathering support in Congress would allow students and graduates to do just that, and then-some, according to Sen. Charles Schumer (D-New York).
Schumer was on Staten Island Monday morning to meet with students at St. John’s University, to push the #InTheRed College Proposal he says will put America on a path to debt-free college.
