Colourful Sydney racing identity Eddie Hayson has been arrested on the Gold Coast over the alleged nationwide supply of a commercial quantity of drugs including ice.
Strike Force Maimura has targeted an organised crime group which allegedly used private planes and encrypted devices to move drugs across the country.
Hayson, 55, was arrested on Tuesday morning after a joint investigation between the NSW Organised Crime Squad and the Australian Federal Police with assistance from the NSW Crime Commission, Western Australia Police and Queensland Police.
