Robert Porters conviction follows an initial investigation by the Insolvency Service and a full criminal investigation and prosecution by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).
His wife, Kelly Porter, received a sentence of 150 hours unpaid work and a directors disqualification order of one years duration following a hearing at Reading Magistrates Court.
Porter was formerly the director of ADP Enterprises Ltd, a building company set up in 2003 which traded as A & B Construction. The company amassed large deficiencies and was wound up in August 2008.
