Deep Silver’s parent company, Plaion, will reportedly be making changes to its game publishing business, which will involve both laying off workers and merging several of its brands.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, Plaion is dropping Deep Silver, Prime Matter, and Ravenscourt. Instead of publishing titles under those labels, future titles will reportedly be published under Plaion. The aim is reportedly to produce fewer titles at a higher quality.
A Plaion representative told GamesIndustry.biz that the restructuring will simplify its publishing business and only affect about five to six jobs out of the over 2,000 employees currently there.
