Asked if that meant Trump was a “blessing” on the issue, Murphy fired back “there is nothing about Donald Trump that is a blessing.”
Murphy said there could be “some hope” that Republicans would allow the Puerto Rican debt legislation to come up if they think it will help them politically ahead of the election. Republicans are defending 24 Senate seats and can only afford to lose a handful and retain control of the upper chamber.
