A charity that helps people manage their finances and gives them a hand up rather than a hand out has received a donation of £200.
The Salvation Army Debt Advice Service was given the cheque by ASDA Dunstable through its green tokens scheme, which enables customers to vote for selected local causes.
Salvation Army spokeswoman Fiona Simpson said: We offer free confidential service and support to anyone in the local community who is in debt. We negotiate with creditors and agree a payment plan that is reasonable and affordable.
