Previous arrests in Perth, Darwin, Sydney and Christchurch have also been linked to the operation.
Last week six people were arrested during planned searches across the greater Dublin area, in which 250,000 (about $400,000) was seized after it was discovered in a mattress.
Irish authorities have confirmed a number of those arrested to date have previously “travelled to Australia”, where the value of cocaine is four to five times that of Ireland.
“It is suspected that this organised crime group has been engaged in this activity for a number of years prior to being identified in 2016,” a Garda spokeswoman told Fairfax Media.
