But news of the high-end sale came as a surprise to the company liquidator this week when notified about the result by Domain.
Ms Johnson, who is known for dressing the likes of Hollywoods Christina Hendricks and Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop, secured about $3.2 million from a local buyer for the recently renovated home she owns with her husband Andrew Johnson.
