Treasurer Scott Morrison has laid the foundations for more of that good debt in the federal budget next Tuesday and less of that bad stuff.
Good is good and bad is bad, right? If only economics, budget management and politics were so simple.
First, voters are entitled to be sceptical about any Coalition government that claims office while screaming, “Labor’s debt and deficit disaster” … then embraces debt on its own terms.
