For the past year, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (HPE) has undergone a wide-scale transformation under CEO Meg Whitman. After its split from PC and printing giant HP Inc. (HPQ) last year, HPE has spun off two major business units, refocusing on key operations such as computer hardware and investing in new growth opportunities.
A Year Later: Two Spinoffs and an Acquisition
In May, HPE announced plans to spinoff its 100,000-employee computing services business in a merger with Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC). Back in September, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based tech firm agreed to sell its software arm in a deal worth $8.8 billion to British software specialists Micro Focus.
