Ive written about personal finance for over a decade, covering everything from budgeting to 401(k)s. So, I know a good amount about how to manage your money. Yet despite that, Ive been in a significant amount of debt twice. And for the longest time, I felt ashamed about this. Wasnt I supposed to know better?
But the truth is that many people struggle with debt — even those of us who may be considered experts. And feeling self-conscious about it doesnt make things better. I hope that by sharing my story, I can soften the stigma around debt and other money topics.
