James Packer has stepped down from his position as Crown Resorts director
James Packer announced that he was stepping down as director on Monday, with immediate effect.
Packer resigned as chairman of the company just four months ago. He served as a senior executive director until yesterday when the announcement was made.
James Packer remains Crown’s biggest shareholder and has reaffirmed his commitment to the success of the business.
“Crown remains my No. 1 business priority and passion,” Mr Packer said in a statement in August.
“Given our global growth and aspirations, this is the right time for the company to make this change. I look forward to working closely with (new CEO Robert Rankin),” Packer said.
