Jetstar will bring more of its jets back home from Japan to boost its domestic fleet as it faces a delay of up to two years in the delivery of its new Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The budget Qantas subsidiary was set to receive the first of the new single-aisle, long-range variant A321neo jets in August 2020 with 18 to have joined its fleet by the end of 2022, enabling it to expand further into popular Asian travel destinations. But the order was put on hold last May when the COVID-19 pandemic brought the aviation industry to its knees.
