There are fears more than 350 jobs across the country are at risk after major infrastructure contractor York Civil was placed into voluntary administration.
The directors of the company, which is based in Adelaide and is currently working on the North Terrace Tram Extension and the Torrens to Torrens projects, met this morning and decided to place it in voluntary administration.
Ferrier Hodgson has been appointed as the administrator and now has control of the business and its assets.
An urgent assessment of the companys financial position and the status of its contracts has also begun.
