It’s understood staff have been paid to date, but around 25 kitchen staff walked off the job after Saturday’s lunch service.
On Sunday, the Deck remained open, but Ku West and Ku Dining were both closed.
The restaurant has received mixed reviews since its inception.
West Australian restaurant critic Rob Broadfield described his first experience as “shambolic” but changed his mind and talked of a “remarkable good” time after another visit a few weeks later, he wrote in the newspaper in April.
Recent reviews on travel and restaurant review site Tripadvisor were similarly hit and miss with just over 50 per cent of the 260 reviews judging their experience as “excellent” or “good” while the rest of the reviews rated the restaurant as “average”, “poor” or “terrible”.
