DENVER — It’s the end of an era as three Sports Authority stores in the Denver metro area will be closing as the Englewood-based company battles money issues.
Besides the flagship location at the famed Sports Castle at 1000 Broadway, Sports Authority will close stores at 9000 E. Peakview Ave. in Greenwood Village and a branch of its S.A. Elite brand at 1750 29th St. in Boulder. The S.A. Elite store in Boulder said on its website: “Hurry in and save. We’re closing” as of Feb. 27.
