Stage Two of Bernborough Ascot, titled Poinciana House, was scheduled to be ready for occupation in mid to late 2024.
In addition to 53 new apartments, alongside Doomben Racecourse, in the suburb, 6.5km northeast of brisbane‘s CBD, residents of the Stage 2 development are due to have a bowling green, indoor pool, a health and wellness studio, a yoga space, consulting rooms, a rooftop terrace, a café and a restaurant.
The 34-year-old construction giant St Hilliers, based in sydney, advised contractors on Sunday night it had entered voluntary administration. It had completed Stage 3 of Aveo Group’s Parkside Carindale and was working on 21 projects in total.
The administration includes St Hilliers Contracting and six other entities in the group. The property development and investment division St Hilliers Property remains unaffected.
“Good evening subcontractor representatives. Please be advised that there will be no work on the Bernborough Ascot St Hilliers construction site tomorrow,” a subcontractor wrote on Sunday night.
