Construction and engineering company York Civil has ceased trading, leaving 188 employees out of work.
The company told employees and contractors on Monday morning.
A creditors meeting will be held on Thursday.
York Civil employed 136 workers in Adelaide, 31 in NSW, 18 in Western Australia and three in Queensland.
In a statement, administrator Ferrier Hodgson said the decision to cease the company’s operations had been made because of insufficient cash resources and the inability to find a buyer for the company.
