SPRINGFIELD Since 2011, the Massachusetts Debt Relief Foundation has been providing pro bono chapter 7 bankruptcy representation to people who are struggling to get out of debt. Five years later, the foundation is still offering these services in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
“It’s something we see too often…people find themselves overwhelmed with debt and it not only affects them financially, but emotionally and even physically,” said attorney Richard Ravosa, who was joined by Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, supporters, and clients at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown Springfield recently to celebrate the success of the program.
