Eight solid weeks of politicians saying a lot about nothing of which few listened or really believed.
Cant and indifference. Politicians mouthing carefully chosen phrases they hoped would not become sound bites reducing a debate about the future – at arguably one of the most crucial points in this nations history – to rhythmic chants.
Jobs and growth.
Only Labor will save Medicare.
And so those of us who have still not done so will go to the polls today locked into our prejudices, unaware or disinterested the status quo is taking us nowhere but into a death spiral.
This election was an opportunity to take stock and responsibility.
Climate change is looming with no national plan to address it.
