Residents who live in bankrupt subdivisions around Jefferson County are looking for solutions to rough road conditions.

Nearly 100 subdivisions in unincorporated areas of Jefferson County are abandoned or have developers who have declared bankruptcy, according to deputy county manager Dan Biles. Many of them have roads that have fallen into disrepair.
Heritage Park in McCalla is on the list of bankrupt subdivisions. Roads through the neighborhood have cracks, dips and potholes.
Brenda Richardson, who lives in Heritage Park, is trying to find a way to repair the roads in her neighborhood.
