“WE ARE here to help” is the message from the Grimsby branch of an award-winning national charity aiming to help lift people out of debt.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP), based at the City Church Centre, in Freeman Street, offers free assistance to those struggling with financial problems or in need of advice with budget planning.
As the cost of Christmas begins to become clear, CAP centre manager Ellen Beckett said now may be a time when debt headaches can emerge.
“After Christmas can be a difficult time for people and it’s also a time when some people may reassess their finances and realise there’s a problem,” she said.
