The operator of a string of Noodle Box restaurants has been charged with fraud after an investigation by the corporate regulator into the illegal practice of phoenix activity.
Amy Timko, who formerly ran several Noodle Box franchises in northern Tasmania, appeared in court in Hobart on Friday on charges of fraudulent conduct under the Corporations Act.
Officials from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission launched an investigation into the dealings of her business, A Twisted Little Company, and have uncovered what they allege is evidence of phoenix activity.
