The number of debtors who entered a personal insolvency in regional Victoria increased by 14.5 per cent in the June quarter, compared to the March quarter.
Bendigo was one of the main contributors to the rise, alongside Wellington and Ballarat.
Twenty-five debtors were recorded in Bendigo in the June quarter, compared to 16 in the March quarter a rise of 56.25 per cent.
But Wellington had the biggest rise, of 200 per cent, from five debtors in the March quarter to 15 in June.
Ballarat was among the regions with the highest number of debtors, with 34 in the June quarter.
Geelong topped the list with 56 debtors.
Mildura had 31 debtors, the highest proportion of debtors in the adult population in regional Victoria for the June quarter.
