Simsai Construction was issued with a wind-up order by the Australian Taxation Office in October and administrators were called in last month, putting a cloud over almost 100 builds.
Jeremy Nipps and Thomas Birch from Cor Cordis were appointed as liquidators on Tuesday, a day before creditors were set to meet to decide the company’s future.

The company’s tax debts began to rise midway through 2018 and the company may have been insolvent from July 2021, administrators said in a report to creditors.
Indemnity insurer QBE raised concerns about Simsai’s financial performance and future last year and last month told homeowners who had entered into a contract with the company to refer to their policy coverage.
