The company behind the annual perth Fashion Festival has gone into voluntary administration, owing $819,000 to more than 100 creditors and event suppliers.
On Monday, administrators Hall Chadwick were called in to assess the financial position of Perth Fashion Festival Pty Ltd.
The company’s directors, Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan and Tony Sage, plan to continue the company’s operations following an independent appraisal, according to The West Australian.

Money problems
The festival has been beset by money problems for several years, and the 2019 event was a considerably scaled-back affair.
The festival was managed by Perth Fashion Festival Pty Ltd for 20 years before failure to pay contractors led to major sponsors, including Telstra, parting ways with the event in 2018.
“As joint directors of the Perth Fashion Festival Pty Ltd, we have been trying to secure a repayment agreement with all PFF creditors for some time,” Harvey-Hanrahan and Sage said in a statement.
