A problem gambler is asking the TAB to take responsibility for part of his debt after he says a lapse in their processes allowed him to lose $75,000 in six months.
The 28-year-old Auckland man’s family said he attempted to put measures in place to curb his gambling, including a self-exclusion option for online gambling with the TAB. This meant he should have been limited to $250 at a time with a verified ID.
