Breifne OBrien, the convicted fraudster, has been declared bankrupt by the High Court.
The former businessman was given a seven year prison sentence in 2014, which he is currently serving, for convincing people to give him millions of euros for investment in bogus property deals.
OBrien, who has an address at Monkstown Grove, Monkstown, Co Dublin, had pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to 14 sample charges of making a gain or causing a loss by deception or theft of about 8.5 million between 2003 and 2008.
