RugbyWA is going into voluntary administration, saying it can’t afford to pay costs being sought over two failed legal attempts to save the Western Force.
The Force was axed earlier this year as the Australian Rugby Union sought to reduce the number of Australian teams in the Super Rugby competition.
RugbyWA took legal action to try to save the team, but was ultimately unsuccessful.
The Chairman of Rugby WA, Tony Howarth joined Geoff Hutchison on ABC Radio perth and started by explaining just how difficult this year has been for rugby in Western Australia and why RugbyWA has gone into administration.
