Global security group Securitas has revealed that its chief executive was declared bankrupt this week after his identity was hacked.
In a particularly embarrassing disclosure, the Swedish company told the local stock exchange that its chief executive Alf Göransson was robbed of his personal identification when a person made a loan application in his name.
On Monday he was declared bankrupt by the Stockholm District Court on the basis of what Securitas said was falsified information. The company added that Mr Göransson would appeal the bankruptcy decision and that he does not yet know if the loan application and the bankruptcy proceedings were connected.
