The victim of a convicted paedophile has spoken out about a legal loophole through which he could lose almost £400,000 in compensation after his abuser made himself bankrupt.
David Glass, 59, was jailed for five years in January for sexually assaulting three boys after befriending their parents and winning their trust.
A court ordered Glass, from Anstruther, Fife, to hand over money to his victim. However, the businessman, who ran plant hire, building and commercial property companies, has sold off properties and declared himself bankrupt. Liquidators are now seizing available assets but it is unclear who is to be paid and how much they will get.
