The Barnett Government is on a collision course with the WA Police union over its proposed new workers’ compensation scheme for serving officers.
Police Minister Liza Harvey has released details of a comprehensive scheme she insists will deliver compensation for police officers in line with other employees.
But the police union is adamant the scheme does not go far enough, and does not retrospectively compensate officers who have already been medically retired.
