Wayne’s building business has gone into liquidation, he says government stimulus made things worse

In the last twelve months 26 Western Australian builders have collapsed, that follows 27 in the year before that.

Wayne adds his name to that list, after making the tough decision to put his commercial building company into voluntary liquidation.

He set up his company in 2005 and at one stage had 17 staff and now he’s worried he could lose his house.

As a commercial builder Wayne wasn’t eligible for government stimulus grants offered to support the construction industry and he told Nadia on Mornings that they might have made it worse for him.
