Goji placed in voluntary administration, but potential buyer looms – The Western Weekender

Asian restaurant Goji will continue to trade at the East Bank precinct in Jamisontown.

It comes after Goji Modern Asian Cuisine Pty Ltd was placed into voluntary administration.

Goji Penrith Pty Ltd began trading on April 15 and is now managing the restaurant on the site.

Its understood the owners of East Bank are keen for Gojis presence at the popular restaurant strip to continue.

The restaurant closed its doors for two days last week. It is now open and continues to trade.

The Australian Tax Office commenced winding up orders against Goji Modern Asian Cuisine Pty Ltd in February.

Asian restaurant Goji is set to be thrown a lifeline after being placed into voluntary administration last Friday.

The Penrith location of Goji sits on the banks of the Nepean River, with another location in George Street in the Sydney CBD.

The restaurant closed its doors for two days last week before officially being put into administration on Friday, April 12.

It comes after the Australian Tax Office commenced winding up orders against Goji Modern Asian Cuisine Pty Ltd in February.

Goji is back open while discussions are underway regarding the future of the company, with a sale believed to be a very strong possibility.
