Hyatt Regency Coolum has been placed into voluntary administration a week after owner Clive Palmer attempted to sack Hyatt as managers of the property located on Queenslandâs Sunshine Coast.
In a statement obtained by HM tonight (Mar 1), Hyatt said it had been notified that KordaMentha had been appointed as the voluntary administrators.
âWe are liaising with the administrators in relation to the operation of the hotel,â Hyatt said. âKordaMentha have said âthe resort will continue to operate as normalââ.
Both Hyatt and owner Palmerâs lawyers were back in the brisbane Supreme Court yesterday, where Hyatt asked for a continuation of an injunction that will mean the company continues to manage the property, which it has done for 24 years.
