Residential builder Inspired Homes has gone into voluntary administration, with McGrathNicol appointed to manage the company.
Rob Kirman and Rob Brauer were today appointed as administrators of Wangara-based Inspired Property Group, trading as Inspired Homes.
The update comes after the state government doubled down on its commitment to help Inspired Homes customers.
Business News understands that the company had up to 100 homes in its construction pipeline.
Last month, Premier Roger Cook and Commerce Minister Tony Buti met with representatives of disgruntled Inspired Homes customers, shortly after the new Cabinet was sworn in.
Mr Cook said he would write to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission to request an investigation into Inspired Homes’ solvency.
“If the company is found to be insolvent, it will trigger Home Indemnity Insurance for affected customers,” he said last month.
“My message to Inspired Homes is this – you must prioritise completing these homes and honour the commitments you made to your customers.”
Mr Cook said Dr Buti’s highest priority was to help get homes built for the affected customers.
